Cox.com Ecommerce Buyflow
Myself and a UX designer worked alongside Cox’s internal UX/design team to redo their entire lower funnel online buyflow, from service customization to order confirmation. We traveled to Cox headquarters in Atlanta for several working sessions throughout the summer of 2014 to develop an adaptive, easy-to-understand experience that worked within the client’s technical limitations and utilized existing brand guidelines. To make pricing transparent for users—a primary user pain point and notoriously confusing in telecom—we developed a right rail cart preview that showed all fees, taxes, and miscellaneous charges. Total prices adjusted in real time as users progressed through the purchasing process. After the initial project, I built a comprehensive technical guide with all UI specs for Cox's technology team.
Post launch, we continued to work with the client to refine the experience through ongoing testing and iteration.
