A Life of Roses

"The Salvation Army Rose Center for senior citizens in Portland, Oregon creates a strong sense of community by providing a wide variety of activities like dance, tai chi, watercolor classes, weekly nature hikes, and road trips to seasonal festivals and fairs. Deep friendships are made through the Rose Center. For many of them, "the Rose Center is their family."" We experimented with a fast-paced, fun, and lively style for this piece, to underscore the vivacious energy that permeates through all the seniors that participate at the Rose Center. Actually, we shot well over 100 hyper- / time-lapses in our week in Portland, OR.
