IBM Centennial: Icons of Progress

When IBM turned 100 in 2011, we knew that it wasn’t just a special birthday for the company, but it was a milestone for modern technology as we know it, worthy of a global celebration. The IBM Centennial was a celebration of the past 100 years of technology and next 100 years of technology——setting the stage for the next era of computing——The Cognitive Era. As part of the Centennial we developed multiple global initiatives——this is just a small part——The Icons of Progress. Eventually this netted us gold and silver pencils at The One Show.
