SeeNow: Street Art by the Blind

Worldwide, 4 out of 5 people who are blind don't have to be. That reality is hard for many people in the global north to imagine, where adequate access to healthcare has made this an issue of the past. The Fred Hollows Foundation, an international development organization working to eliminate avoidable blindness, wanted to use World Sight Day to focus global attention on this issue in an engaging, positive way. We commissioned the incredible John Bramblitt, a blind painter, and renowned street artist Rubin415 to create the world’s first street art collaboration with a blind artist. StreetArtGlobe’s coverage of our feature video earned nearly 4 million views on social.
