Local thanks is a merchant to consumer marketing platform. Using methods such as competitor analysis, in-depth interviews and direct observation of user behavior, I identified opportunities to inform product strategy and better meet the needs of our customers. One benefit identified was to develop a rewards program that actually had levels, with each tier having its own benefits and perks set by the merchant to entice their consumers to continually return to their brick and mortar location. Local thanks entailed my largest Ux & Branding project to date, spanning 3 years with multiple iterations and rounds of testing designing both the consumer and merchants experience from the ground up. My primary pain point was to ensure management understood the importance of iterating on a solution rather than accepting something that ‘worked just a little better’. With an eye for detail that bordered on the obsession, I eliminate any trace of unnecessary complexity to deliver an unparalleled end-to-end experience for all of our users.
