Midway through my tenure at GDP, I pitched an aggressive social media strategy, that included a deep dive into our audience and company interests, to increase engagement. Parts of it were ultimately adapted and a social team was put in place to pursue it. Over the course of several months, we focused on more regular posts, expert timing that aligned with client and partnership announcements, engaging copy and surgical puns. These actions increased our followers by over 700 followers to date (nearly 25% of our benchmark following at the before the implementation of this strategy.)
