A24 Academy Awards Afterparty Invitation

A24 is a film studio specializing in small independant productions like Ladybird and Good Time. For their third year at the Academy Awards, they wanted to throw an after party that celebrated their growth as a company and continued successes within the landscape of independant film.

This year’s invitation looks inward on A24, subverting the conceptual origin of their logo animation. The visible spectrum of light, normally collapsed and organized into the A24 logo, is here exploded, a cascade of light and geometry bursting upwards in celebration. Cut acrylic shapes evoking A24 branding are captured in various states of collision, with a triggered sequence of strobe lights generating long tails of light that feather and warp together.
