Tampa Bay Lightning Distant Thunder

Sometimes you have to travel a great distance to appreciate what's right in front of you. That was my insight behind Distant Thunder, a campaign I created for the Tampa Bay Lightning. I traveled to the southern tip of Brazil to tell the story of Rafael, a lone Lightning fan living in a town where soccer is religion. Launched in February of 2016, the campaign galvanized the local fan base, and has been embraced by hockey fans all over the world, achieving over 20 million impressions and setting up more #DistantThunder stories.
