In this project we turned a typical product display on its head by creating a completely custom temporary museum that highlighted science and innovation in each of the product categories - and their connection to the core of the brand, represented in the literal core of the space. Objective of the meeting was to showcase new products, educate retailers and provide a brand experience to sales reps and retail partners. This hockey expo was just a portion of the 2.6 million dollar event that included smaller meetings, general sessions, dinner and an outdoor experience. They hockey expo was built overnight in a 24,000 square foot hotel ballroom and included 12 total pods for individual presentations. One interesting thing: This event occurs annually but this was the first time we were proposing having 12 simultaneous presentations take place in one room. In order to solve I studied potential circulation patterns and positioned each presentation to project sound in opposite directions, minimizing sound concern. Then I connected walls in a way that encouraged attendees to explore and discover each area on their own during open expo time, allowing each product category to feel individual and dynamic.
