Positional Drift

Positional Drift is a kinetic sculpture, debuted at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2017 conference.

600 custom designed motorized winches come together to create a field of elements with the ability to resolve into infinite sculptural forms. Custom design printed circuit boards and software allow the elements, controlled individually, to animate smoothly through the narrative sequence. In transition, the sculpture moves through algorithmically generated wave patterns, creating a different experience for the viewer each cycle.
