Ale

Ale was a spur-of-the-moment kind of piece, but I was aiming to draw a scene around a huge tree. At first it was just the smallest character with a beer, but once I had the bulk of the tree in there, the rest evolved and fell into place. If there's a Dungeons and Dragons-style brewer out there, this is the ad for them! To me it definitely has a retro vibe and the bright colours put me in mind of old comics and cartoons like Asterix and Looney Tunes. It's one of my favourite images from 2017.
