SCOPE OF PROJECT: Strategy, branding, editorial, infographics, and illustration. THE STORY: With a growing number of refugee communities in Southern California many are in need of a guide book to locate resources for their needs. Many if not most refugee families have yet to learn English, therefore a bilingual publication written in English and Arabic was needed. THE APPROACH: Our approach focused on presenting content in a user friendly way that welcomed refugees to their new home. A guide was developed that was easily understandable and fun to read. One that house more imagery and diagrams than a typical publication with too much jargon. THE OUTCOME: A bilingual English and Arabic guide book that welcomed refugees to Southern California locating useful resources in online, in their neighborhoods, and city lead initiatives.
