Spotify CES 2016
The venerable SET Creative NYC office was tapped to provide a premium experience that promotes the Spotify brand narrative CES, a global consumer electronics and consumer technology trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Inside Aria’s premier hotel and casino, a large scale ballroom will be retrofitted to accommodate us. 4,000 square feet will be transformed into an immersive, interactive event providing multi- sensory experiences. Our narrative was activated around existing business partnerships, as well as new app features like Spotify Running and the ever-popular Year In Music review.
We began with asking the question "How does Spotify fit into my life?" It was found that use of the app could be linked to any number of activities throughout the day, from getting your morning cup of joe at Starbucks to your evening workout. This lead us to the mantra "From the moment you wake, to the time you fall asleep, Spotify is with you." People’s daily routines are habitual and similar. In highlighting how Spotify fits into every facet of a consumer’s day, we propose to guide the guests through a typical day that includes the use of Spotify on the couch, on the go, and on the road. Using color and light to delineate the time of day, we work to tell a linear story of how and when Spotify fits into the consumer’s life. A floating sky canopy magically weaves this journey together.
