Good Thing VIP Party, Design Week 2017

As Good Thing's Creative Marketing Manager, I envisioned and executed the Good Thing VIP Preview party for NY Design Week 2017. This involved designing and producing printed invitations, scouting a relevant and on-budget NYC event venue, conceptualizing the evening's features, managing event partners, sourcing sponsors for and preparing VIP parting gifts, and PR elements like cultivating a complete guest list.

Chinatown's Homer 1 loft played host to our 175-person Design Week event. An installation of the new furniture, lighting, and rugs was the skylighted space's centerpiece.

Alice Taranto's multidisciplinary practice includes publishing and neon lighting. Alice has done client-based visual design and holds a BFA from RISD. At Good Thing, she recently oversaw collaborations with Harry's, The Standard, & other friends.

I invited mixologist Arley Marks to work with us on this event. Arley designed a cocktail specially for our VIP event, which was served in Good Thing's own Speckled Cups. The printed invitation was sealed shut with an artifact from our 2017 furniture releases: an abalone shell button. Alice Taranto's multidisciplinary practice includes publishing and neon lighting.
