We create conceptual food products that imagine what our grocery store shelves will look like in the face of massive food systems change. Inspired by the auto industry’s concept cars, our concept food products are tangible visions of what products we might see on shelves in the coming decades.
Our concept products are artifacts that amplify what we call "weak signals." Weak signals are nascent trends, technologies, and behaviors that are early-stage today, but could become mainstream in the future (a strong signal). These products envision what happens when the progressive, new ideas of today become mainstream, old ideas of tomorrow.
Concept products are meant to inspire today's food industry into reexamining nascent trends and more aggressively pursuing ambitious ideas that are better for people, planet, and profit.
