The project was an illustrated step and repeat for the Governor's Ball Pre-Party hosted by the women's fashion brand, Nasty Gal. The party venue was a warehouse in New York decorated in metallic silver. It felt reminiscent of The Factory so a Warhol-Basquiat inspired illustration was the direction I decided to go in. In that spirit, I incorporated the brand's associated icons as well as elements of an urban city street. Mixed with nods to naive graffiti art and a pop-art color palette the result was a striking backdrop that guests were excited to engage with and still achieved the brand promotion the company was seeking.
