Editorial Redesign — TOP Magazine
TOP Magazine is a Brazilian luxury lifestyle monthly publication. In 2016, they asked us for a facelift, and so we developed a new editorial project and a general redesign of their visual identity.
We created a new logo, chose a whole new suite of typefaces and styles, new paper, developed new grids — which had to be extensively thought out, since the magazine covers a big range of different subjects —, and suggested a new approach to imagery. We also convinced the editors to get rid of the back cover advertising in order to feature two different portraits of the celebrities, making them the first big publication in the Brazilian market to do that.
To launch this project, we art directed the first three new editions from head to toe, working with photographers, editors and producers.
