Google Year in Search 2016

Every year, Google puts out an end of year video detailing that year in search. 2016 was no different—and yet, it kind of was. Last year was a brutal year filled with tragedy. But when we dove into the data, we found hope. My role on this project was to work on the hub for Year In Search 2016, where people could take a deeper dive into the data. We looked for the year's breakout searches: ones that hit an all-time high in search interest. Some were expected. Others....not so much.
