Before Obamacare launched in 2014, Cambia Health wanted to spin off a new health insurance platform to address the needs of first-time subscribers. This was during a time of uncertainty when there was an atmosphere of confusion about how the insurance exchanges would work, and where was the best place for customers to find comparative information about plans that were available to them.
In order to clarify the needs of this audience, we conducted in-depth interviews with prospective customers. We then brought this information back to the client team and held a collaborative design workshop. The next phase involved creating wireframes, user flows, and a visual design system.
A design system and style guide were provided to the Cambia development team for the implementation and launch of Bridgespan Health in 2015.
