Viaduct Closure Catastrophe - DSA

When they heard the Alaskan Way viaduct would be closed for two weeks, ensuing massive traffic jams and pandemonium everywhere, the Downtown Seattle Association came to the Garrigan Lyman Group to ask for help. Our task? Spinning something terrible into something kind of wonderful. In just 4 days, our team came up with a plan. We proposed a campaign using local chefs Tom Douglas and Theirry Rautureau along with a combination of social, video and radio to get the word out. The hashtag that would tie it all together? #WhyRushHour Why rush to sit in an epic traffic jam? Why sit in your car when you could sit in a fancy restaurant? Or walk along the waterfront? Or play corn hole with your friends?
