Elisions

University of Connecticut Master of Fine Arts exhibition identity and catalog.

Both identity and catalog were designed to reference the name of the exhibition—elision is defined as the process of joining together or merging things. Using exactly five different shapes to form the typographic mark, the catalog was designed as five separate inserts that nest into one another to form a single catalog booklet–representing the five different MFA artists putting on one show. Creating the booklet in this way allows each artist to have a single tri-fold card of their work.

Working collaboratively with a small team of designers, my roles included art direction as well as print production. Design co-collaborators include Emily Amijee and Carissa Kelsy.
