WORK: CORD

WNW Member #436 Jeff Baxter and Thomas Gayno, the cofounders of Cord Project Inc, believe in the power of voice. After working together for 5 years at Google Creative Lab, where they invented, designed, and launched new products, features, brands and experiences including Google Glass, Android, Chrome, Hangouts, and YouTube Play, they left Google to build Cord Project Inc.

Cord is a voice messaging platform designed for "one tap voice chat." To strike the perfect balance of intimacy and efficiency, messages are limited to 12 seconds. As Baxter puts it, "We're designing a product that is incredibly simple, not only to make voice easy to use again, but to give ourselves the flexibility needed to live across all sorts of connected devices." We here over at the WNW headquarters have ditched texting and looking at each others' faces altogether in favor of this modern walkie-talkie app. You can download it for iOS for free here.
